Laura P. Gray

Leaving her lengthy career as a registered Nurse, Laura believes there is a strong link between feeling excited about what we are do in our lives, and our health and well-being.

Her goal remains to slow down to look more closely at light and colour, and attempt to create a piece of artwork for the pure joy of doing it.

Having a love for the mountains, Laura began acrylic painting in 2004 in Canmore, Alberta. She studied under the late artist Zelda Nelson SFCA. Her first mentor was her Mother, artist Phyllis Ecclestone Gray who was an accomplished oil landscape painter in Quebec. “Just pick up a brush and enjoy yourself” were her Mother’s words which inspired her!

Laura is a juried member in the Federation of Canadian Artists, with Active Status.

Laura’s work has sold to private collections in Canada,  Germany, and the  UK. She creates impressionistic landscapes, “ I want to create a respectful response to our environment around us, and create a painting to be enjoyed by others.” For more information about Laura’s work, you can contact her at: 250-487-8027 Email:
